You have an opportunity to support local aviation and contribute to Sky Fair 2010. This is a chance for you to support our Elko airport and become more involved in our aviation community.

The event will be held on Saturday, September 11th, 2010, the same day as the Elko MoRodders Car Show. The Experimental Aircraft Association is working with the City of Elko, El Aero Services, Civil Air Patrol and the local Hot Air Balloon Club, and would like to include your support.

Tentative activities planned are:

• Buehn Air Racing - Warbird rides
• Static displays of vintage Warbird aircraft
• Military displays from the nearby Military bases
• Pancake breakfast provided by the EAA and Lunch provided by Civil Air Patrol.
• Static display of various local aircraft and others from the intermountain region.
• Static displays of airport firefighting equipment.
• Radio controlled aircraft demonstrations.
• Hot air balloon exhibition (tethered balloon).
• Helicopter rides to be raffled hourly.

EAA Chapter 1135 is taking the lead in organizing this event as an arm of the Airport Advisory Board. The organizing group is 100% dependent on civic minded sponsors and needs your help. Without contributions we will struggle to meet all the expenses involved in producing an event of this size. Your financial contribution of any size to defray the event costs would be greatly appreciated.
